Support & Guidance

Please see below an app that can be used by those who are victims of domestic abuse, in the current climate this app could be a lifeline.

The app is called Brightsky which you can download to your smartphone which provides support and information to anyone who may be in an abusive relationship or those concerned about someone they know.

The app provides a UK-wide directory of specialist domestic abuse support services with contact details, along with a tool to record incidents of abuse via text, audio, video or photo, without any of the content being saved on the device itself. If you need to talk to someone you can call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline 0808 2000 247. If you are in immediate risk call the police on 999.

Advice Central is a free service hosted by The Disability Resource Centre and funded by the council that helps people in Central Bedfordshire to get the information and advice they need.

You can call them from 10am to 3pm (Mon-Fri) on 0300 303 6666 or https://advicecentral.org.uk/

The website has loads of information on it, so have a look if you have concerns around the topics mentioned above, plus many other areas.
