Peripatetic Music Lessons

At Henlow Academy we encourage pupils to take up instrumental and singing lessons.  We currently use Inspiring Music, Music Hub for Central Bedfordshire and a private Brass teacher.

Research into Music has shown it to have many wide-reaching benefits:

Speech, Social skills, Maths, Self-confidence, Self-expression and Intellectual development

We can currently offer the following instruments at Henlow Church of England Academy:

Keyboard, Piano, Trombone, Euphonium, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Cello, Double Bass, Violin, Guitar, Drums and Singing.

The lesson costs include a minimum of 33 lessons per academic year (pro rata if started during the year), a specialist teacher and a planner for recording practice notes.  For most woodwind, brass and string instruments, the loan of an instrument for two years is also included in the price.  Please note that instruments are not provided for keyboard, piano, guitar and drums.  We do, of course have pianos and keyboards and a drum kit in school for the lesson.
